Find and Plan Student Accommodation

Planning your commute too? Explore the student transportation guide.

Explore university residences, private student housing and shared accommodation across all five destinations. The calculator provides illustrative estimates; confirm local currencies, housing contracts and requirements with your institution.

Explore accommodation options

Start with your university's official accommodation office and compare alternatives carefully. We do not currently operate or verify live accommodation listings.

University-managed halls

Often arranged through the university. Check eligibility, contract length, meal plans, facilities and application deadlines.

Shared private housing

Shared flats and houses may offer flexibility, but check the landlord or agent, safety standards, tenancy terms, deposit protection and commuting costs.

Select your study country and city. Enter your own amounts in the local currency; the pre-filled numbers are placeholders, not verified rents or local price estimates.

Estimated monthly cost£810
9-month budget + deposit£7,940

This is an illustrative London budget in GBP, not a property listing or rental quote. Changing countries does not convert your entered numbers. Check university housing offices, local tenancy rules, deposit protections and actual availability. A refundable deposit is an upfront cash requirement rather than necessarily an expense. No information is saved.

Accommodation safety checklist

  • Confirm the property exists and the landlord, agent or university provider is genuine.
  • Understand the complete contract, dates, deposit, guarantor and cancellation conditions before paying.
  • Ask whether utilities, internet and other charges are included.
  • Check travel time to campus and any accessibility needs.
  • Keep written receipts and use secure, traceable payment methods.
  • Understand deposit protection rules where they apply, and avoid pressure to transfer money before verification.

For UK housing, consult GOV.UK private renting guidance and your university's student accommodation office.
